Health Certification
|
| All international applicants
must have a Tuberculosis test performed by a competent licensed physician
and submit the results, showing they are free of Tuberculosis,
with their application.
If the test results are positive, they must have a chest x-ray
taken and provide the results which must be negative or "clear". The applicant should be in good general health and free of
Tuberculosis. |

Accident and Sickness
Insurance
|
All international students
must have active accident/sickness insurance while attending Palomar College.
The policy must fulfill specific coverage requirements, including
"Repatriation" coverage, and have a claim number in the US.
Students must provide proof of a continuing active policy
covering the entire semester before
registration or classes will be dropped. Students may purchase a policy designed
especially for international students in the Office of
International Education.
If you chose to locate your own policy, it must be
paid for the entire semester and fulfill the
following minimum coverage requirements: |

medical benefits of at least US $50,000 per accident or
illness |
a deductible not to exceed $500 per accident or illness |
claim office in the USA |
expenses associated with medical evacuation of the student to
his/her country in the amount of
$10,000 |
repatriation of remains in the amount of $7,500 |
