Astronomy:  The Earth, Space, and Aviation Sciences Department is accepting applications for a part-time teaching position in Astronomy for the Fall 2012 semester.  Minimum qualifications: Master’s in physics, astronomy, or astrophysics OR Bachelor’s in physics or astronomy AND Master’s in engineering, mathematics, meteorology, or geophysics OR the equivalent (candidates applying on the basis of equivalency must submit the Palomar College Equivalency Qualifications Form that is attached to the application form).  Preferred qualifications:  A Master's degree in astronomy or astrophysics and previous experience teaching astronomy at the secondary or college level.  To apply: Complete the Part-time Faculty Application and send with a resume to Mark Lane, Earth, Space, and Aviation Sciences Department, via email at mlane@palomar.edu or by U.S. Mail to Mark Lane, Earth, Space, and Aviation Sciences Department, 1140 W. Borrego Springs:  Palomar College is currently seeking qualified part-time instructors to teach Counseling, History and Psychology classes in Borrego Springs. Classes will be offered in the late afternoon (approximately 3:00 – 5:40 pm).

 

The minimum qualifications for each discipline are as follows:

 

Counseling: Master’s in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, or career development, marriage and family therapy, or marriage, family and child counseling, OR the equivalent.

 

History: Master’s in history OR Bachelor’s in history AND Master’s in political science, humanities, geography, area studies, women’s studies, social science, or ethnic studies OR the equivalent.

 

Psychology: Master’s in psychology OR Bachelor’s in psychology AND Master’s in counseling, sociology, statistics, neuroscience, or social work OR the equivalent.
