Anthropology:
The Department of Behavioral Sciences is seeking a part-time
anthropology instructor with a background in linguistic
anthropology to teach a Language and Culture course for
Spring 2010. Minimum qualifications:
Master's Degree in anthropology or archaeology OR
Bachelor's in either of the above AND
Master's in sociology, biological sciences, forensic
sciences, genetics or paleontology OR the

Child Development Center Teacher:
A qualified
temporary/substitute Teacher is needed to teach children in
the afternoons at the Palomar College Child Development
Center. Minimum
qualifications:
24 units in ECE or CD including core
courses and 16 GE units, OR an Associate's degree or
higher in ECE or CD with three units of supervised field
experience. Preferred qualifications: Two years
of experience as a Teacher in a Child Development classroom
working with toddlers.

Clinical
Assisting Diagnostic Procedures:
The
Life Sciences department is seeking an instructor to teach
courses in Clinical Medical Assisting. This class is a
three hour lecture/six hour laboratory combination.
Minimum qualifications:
Any Bachelor's
degree and two years of experience, or any Associate degree
and six years experience in the medical field. Preferred
qualifications:
Strong candidates will have a current RN license or
be a Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA-C, AAMA-C, or RMA)
with experience in laboratory orientation and preparation of
patients
for diagnostic procedures, specimen collection and handling.
Including: basic urine and hematological tests;
electrocardiography; phlebotomy using vacutainer; butterfly
and syringe; microbiologic rapid testing; and emergency
procedures.
Candidates should have a working knowledge of California law
as it applies to student’s performance of skills utilizing
published Evaluation Tools.
Classroom experience preferred, but not required.

Clinical
Assisting Patient Care:
The Life Sciences
department is seeking an instructor to teach courses in
Clinical Medical Assisting. This class is a three hour
lecture/six hour laboratory combination.

Preferred qualifications: Strong candidates will

examinations, minor surgical procedures, and treatments.
Candidates will poses a knowledge of the recording of
medical histories and observations; principles and methods
of aseptic procedures; handling and care of instruments; and
supplies. Knowledge of California law as it applies to
medical assistants, OSHA and HIPAA regulations in the
medical office. Pharmacology with an emphasis on
preparation and administration of medication.

Medical Assisting. Minimum qualifications:
Any Bachelor's

Preferred qualifications:
Strong
candidates will have a current RN license or be a Certified
