Wait-List Information   

Students are not required to be enrolled at Palomar College to remain on the wait-list; however, students are encouraged to meet with their college counselor to determine how enrollment affects graduation requirements or financial aid eligibility.  If students wish to take classes and/or improve skills in preparation for entry, the following courses are highly recommended:

·        NURS 120 Pharmacology I

·        NURS121 Pharmacology II (can be taken in either order)

·        NURS 140 Adult Health Assessment

·        PHIL 115 Logic and Critical Thinking

·        CSIS 105 Computer Concepts/Microcomputer

·        CSIS 120 Microcomputer Applications

·        COUN 48 – Overcoming Test Anxiety

·        HE 165 – Fundamentals of Nutrition

·        MA 55 & MA 56 – Medical Terminology/Anatomy

Prior to entry in the nursing program, all A.A. degree and support courses should be completed.

 

 

 

Palomar College has received a grant to develop an Evening/Weekend Section of our Program. The first class entered Spring 2007. The next entry will be Spring 2008. Only one wait list will be maintained for the Day & Evening Section.  Both sections are full time programs.

 

This program will continue as long as funds, facilities and faculty are available.

Please note: Due to a lack of faculty we will be unable to accept new students into the Evening/Weekend Section for the Spring 2008 Semester.

Depending on funding,  30-36 students are admitted each Fall and Spring Semester.

Students for Fall 2008 semester will be removed from the wait list in March. Additional students will be accepted if there are deferments or refusals by those invited into the program.
