Tony Plana is an award-winning actor, director, producer and leader in the Latino community who has starred in over 60 feature fIlms. He is currently starring as Roberto Santiago in Showtime's Resurrection Boulevard. Plana, through the East L.A. Classic Theater, has developed an innovative literacy program called Beyond Borders. This program is designed to enable students to expand their educational horizons and academic achievements by moving past their personal and cultural borders. Plana emphasizes the importance of educational opportunity as he speaks to audiences about empowering our nation's youth.
