Southern Death Valley Field Course
 

   

This course will offered over spring break ein March, 2009. It is an 4-day, 1-unit field course covering the geology of  Southern Death Valley National Park and the surrounding region.

FOUR- WHEEL-DRIVE VEHICLES ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED as there are quite a few rough dirt roads.

Enrollment will be during regular Spring semester registration for Spring, 2009.

 Corkscrew Peak, Death Valley.

  • Titus Canyon
  • Mosaic Canyon
  • Natural Bridge
  • Salt Creek
  • Rhyolite Ghost Town
  •  Death Valley Dunes
  •  War Eagle Mine
  •  Artist's Pallete
  •  Rhyolite ghost town
  •  Trona Pinnacles
 
 

 Abandoned mine, Death Valley.

We will visit places of incredible geology that few people ever visit.
