Eastern Sierra   Field Course

Ansel Adams Wilderness, California.

Students receive 1 unit of credit upon completion of the trip.

The trip travels up the eastern side of the Sierras, into the White-Inyo Range, around Mammoth Lakes, Bodie and into Yosemite.

Specific places we visit include:

  • Fossil Falls
  • Owens Lake
  • Mt. Whitney/Alabama Hills
  • Bristlecone Pines
  • Hot Creek
  • Mammoth Lakes area volcanoes
  • June Lake Moraines
  • Yosemite Nat. Park
  • Bodie Ghost Town
  • Darwin Canyon
  • Cerro Gordo

Most of the roads are paved and we camp in campgrounds most nights.
