A grand-slam-science-and-engineering-finale at PETCO park all day on Saturday, March 24th.
Many of the Festival Events are designed specifically for Class Field Trips. Free transportation is also provided by the Festival. Please see details under K-12 Transportation. Over 55,000 kids, families, scientists, engineers, educators, and other community members are expected to take part in this year's activities, with over 20,000 people attending on EXPO DAY, a free-to-the-community event! Details are being updated daily as we approach the Festival.
War Horse “One Book Club”- March 2012
The “One Book Club” is a bi-weekly meeting where students have the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas on the book War Horse. Presented in three segments, the book club curriculum is designed to challenge students and give them techniques to strengthen their reading skills. Each week different activities have been designed to be fun, interactive, and educational. When the book club is completed students will be rewarded with a private screening of the movie.
