4. Review or refer the student for an Individual Education Plan.

5. Refer the student to college resources as necessary.

6. Meet with student prior to registration for each semester.

7. Follow-up on all referrals.

3. Provide students with the Palomar Mentor Program card to read and review.

4. Establish a one-on-one meeting with each student to discuss the details of the program.

5. Make Palomar Mentor Program cards available during office hours.

6. Put a statement on the course syllabi informing students about the Mentor Program and discuss the program the first day of class when reviewing the syllabus.

Program Evaluation:

Each semester, the Palomar Mentors will be asked to attend a meeting to discuss the program, exchange ideas, and make recommendations on possible improvements.

Students in the group will be asked to complete an exit survey about the program. Their responses will remain anonymous.

Students participating in the program will be compared to established cohorts to measure progress, retention, and other academic factors .
