Since Palomar College first opened its doors in 1946, the College has educated more than a million students. It is a
large and comprehensive community college.
Palomar College and its business and civic communities have formed true partnerships. As a business, Palomar contributes
nearly $60 million annually to the local economy. Today’s students choose from more than 300 degree and certificate
programs. Many choose to transfer after two years to earn a bachelor’s degree, while others take advantage life-long learning.
With more than 27,000 students enrolled each semester, Palomar College teaches and retrains a significant part of the community workforce.
