This program is
NO
longer offered in this format. We will accept your application for
the Fire Academy under the Fire Academy requirements. You will
have to apply to the
Paramedic program
separately. Applicants
who have successfully completed the Fire Academy will be given
preference for admission in the Paramedic program. Likewise, applicants who
have successfully completed the Paramedic program will be given
preference for admission in the Fire Academy. Note that both programs
will be scheduled so that applicants may complete each in succession.

Limited to 40 students
Dress
Uniforms are required the first day of the Academy. Uniform information
will be provided upon appointment to the Academy.
Grooming
Academy Grooming Standards
Medical Exam
Fire Fighter 1 medical exam in accordance with NFPA1582 (National Fire
Protection Association) plus current immunizations.
Cost
Approximately $2000. Fees cover such costs as tuition, books, certifications,
uniforms, and a non-refundable materials fee.
Registration
Registration must be completed in accordance with College procedures
and in accordance with the Academy schedule.
Parking
A parking permit is required if you plan to park on campus.

PALOMAR STUDENT ID#.
