How do I fill it out?

Below are some tips for completed your FAFSA. For a complete explanation and instructions for each section, visit the U.S. Dept. of Education's web site.  If you have questions, please call 1-800-4-FED-AID (1-800-433-3243) or visit the Student Financial Assistance Office web site.

• Read the instructions.
• Complete the entire form as accurately as possible, including all optional information.  Omitting this information may cause delays in processing.
• List Palomar College as a college choice.  Our school code is 001260.
• Keep a copy of your FAFSA, tax forms, and documents you use to complete the form.
• Register for Selective Service if you are a male who is at least 18 years old and have not already registered.

Note:  If you were determined independent through a previous Review Process, or feel you have extenuating circumstances, you must complete a Request for Review of Dependency Status.  Submit your Review form and your paper FAFSA to the Financial Aid Office.  Make an appointment to see a Financial Aid Advisor.  Do not mail your FAFSA to the federal processor or file electronically.
