In what can only fall into the "what were they thinking?" category, my parents actually allowed me to watch "Night Gallery" when I was a kid.   In fact, the episode entitled "The Doll" aired on January 13, 1971.   I was a little over three years old.   Let me say that again:  I was a little over three years old.  This episode, without a doubt, provides my most indelible memory of the series.  Because of the demonic visage you see above (the titular doll, in two terrifying stills from the episode) and her haunting, eerie voice, I am, to this day, afraid of dolls.  I'm not ashamed to admit this, and anyone who has seen "Night Gallery"--and in particular, this episode--would not laugh at me.
