Welcome to the English Department Writing Center at Palomar College.
The Writing Center comprises a computer classroom, a drop-in computer lab, and tutoring services. The Computer Classroom is located in room MB-4. The Drop-In Lab and Writing Consultants are located in room MB-3.
The Writing Center has three major functions: to provide computers for student and faculty use in a classroom setting; to provide drop-in computer services for students using the Internet and/or word-processing; to provide specialized Writing Consultant services to assist students with their writing.
The Writing Center also provides specific items of furniture, computer hardware, and software that are designed to meet the needs of students with a variety of learning and physical disabilities. A brief description of these items appear on the Resources page on this web site. Please feel free to ask the technicians in MB-3 and MB-4 to assist you further or call extension 2778 for information over the phone.
