As a resident of Carlsbad, CA, I feel extremely fortunate to live so close to the Pacific Ocean. I honor the ocean and my community by participating in the San Diego County Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation--an environmental group formed by, but not limited to, surfers.
I also provide computer expertise to members of the City of Carlsbad's Family Self-Sufficiency Program. This program helps people who receive federal housing assistance acquire new skills and reduce their need for federal housing assistance.
I have recently joined (3/97) the Carlsbad Housing Commission that considers the Inclusionary Housing component of new developments in Carlsbad. Inclusionary housing provides for a mixture of housing products that appeal to several income levels within a single development project.
