Submissions for the Spring 2008 issue are no longer being accepted.  That issue should be released on Tuesday, May 13, 2008; please visit the English Department in room P-2 (among other public locations) for your free copy. 

That said, we do accept year-round submissions, so if you would like to get an early jump on the Spring 2009 issue, please submit according to the instructions described below.  We invite all Palomar students to showcase their creative writing, photography, and art.

As with the past few years, cash prizes are available to students as follows:

First prize, Poetry:  $100
Second prize, Poetry:  $50
Third prize, Poetry:  $25
First prize, Fiction:  $100
Second prize, Fiction:  $50
Third prize, Fiction:  $25
First prize, Visual Arts:  $100
Second prize, Visual Arts:  $50
Third prize, Visual Arts:  $25

All prizes will be awarded in May.

We accept original submissions in the form of:

Submit your work to "The Box" in the English Department (Room P-2), or to the mailboxes of either Dr. Carlton Smith or Dr. Rocco Versaci, also in P-2. Work may also be submitted as an email attachment to rversaci@palomar.edu. Text MUST be submitted on either disk or as an email attachment in MS Word or plain text. For graphic artwork, you may submit originals and pick them back up later. Put your name, phone number, and email address on your submission.  We reserve the right to edit submissions as a condition for publication.
