What is a
"Hybrid" Course?
A hybrid course is simply a course that meets 50%
"live" in a campus classroom and 50% online for the
hours required each week of the college term.
Special features of
this 3-unit course include:
- One meeting
per week on campus-the rest of the class on cyber space!
- Students will
have more responsibility for mastering material
on their own
- Self-directed
students will do well in this environment
- Weekly materials and assignments for the course
will be posted on the course software site
(usually Blackboard although some teachers may
use different software), a
password secure web site.
- Teachers are
available both online and on campus.
- You MUST have
access to a reliable computer loaded with Word
and Excel.
