Test Accommodation

Test accommodation is a service available to students who need a little extra time, a quiet place, or use of a computer to take a test. An Accomodations Form for each class must be signed by a Counselor prior to obtaining the instructor's approval. It is important that you plan well in advance of your first test so that you have what you need on the day of the exam.

Once you have received approval follow these simple steps:

Three to five school days before the exam schedule a room with the staff at the DRC office. Testing time should coincide with the time your class takes the exam, unless prior arrangements have been made with your instructor.

  1. Pick up a blue test accommodation envelope from the DRC office.
  2. Deliver the envelope to your instructor.

On Test Day:

  1. Let the DRC staff know that you have arrived for your test.
  2. Leave books, notes, backpacks, purses, calculators, cell phones, food/drink, etc. in the storage bin. Only instructor approved material may be taken into the testing rooms

For more detailed information see the Student Handbook.
