General Information

DRC is a department within the division of Student Services which facilitates services for students with various documented disabilities:  physical, visual, hearing, communication, learning, psychological. DRC offers a variety of services and equipment for student use on campus. An environment has been created which encourages the student to function effectively. Services are provided to enable students to participate in mainstream classes. Classes are offered to support students enrolled in mainstream English and Math as well as Personal and Vocational Adjustment courses.

A student with a verified disability may be eligible to receive a combination of the following services or other services needed (as deemed appropriate by a DRC counselor):

  • Registration Assistance
  • Mobility Assistance
  • Notetaking Assistance
  • Adapted Physical Education
  • Test Accommodation
  • Adaptive Equipment
  • Counseling

Service Arrangement: Services must be arranged through DRC staff. Requests must be made well in advance of an anticipated need.

DRC serves as an advocate for students with disabilities on campus. DRC fosters academic and vocational success.
