Distance Learning
About Distance Learning
"Distance Learning"
is usually defined as
any teaching-learning environment where the learner and the teacher are
physically separated and technology (i.e., voice, video, data, and some
face-to-face communication) is used to bridge the instructional gap.
"Distance Learning" provides an opportunity for greater
diversity in the means of instruction and in the delivery of educational
and training services.
Distance Learning Classes:
-
are academically equivalent to traditional
on-campus courses and satisfy either general education or elective
requirements toward a degree or certificate.
-
allow you to fit work and school in your busy
schedule.
-
offer the flexibility to choose where, when,
and how often you complete your lessons at home.
-
save time and expense of traveling for those
who find it difficult to make it to campus 2 to 3 times a week.
