RDA Program   

General and Approximate Schedule: 

FALL SEMESTER: M-TH    8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. &  F: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.  (Dental Classes)

SPRING SEMESTER:  M-F   8 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Dental Classes and Dental Offices)

   This is a ten-month sequence requiring a full-time commitment. 

 It is strongly recommended that DA 50 and the English requirement (English 50  or English 100 or ESL 103) be completed before enrolling in the Registered Dental Assisting program to ensure maximum success in the program.  If not completed prior to entry, must be taken concurrently with RDA courses:

1.)   DA 50 (Introduction to Dental Sciences & Occupations)  If not completed prior to starting program, this course must be taken first semester.

2.)   English  ENG 50 or Eng 100 or ESL 103

FALL

SEMESTER I: DA 57, 60, 65, 70 75 & 82

SPRING

SEMESTER II: DA 71, 83, 85 & 90

 

Full Time Program

This is a ten-month sequence requiring a full time commitment.  A CPR for Health Care Providers course approved by the American Heart Association (offered in class in fall semester) must be completed prior to the spring semester. 

It is strongly advised that the following classes be completed before enrolling in the Dental Assisting program to ensure maximum success in the program:

*DA 50 (Introduction to Dental Sciences & Occupations) (If not completed prior to starting program, this course must be taken first semester) DA 50 is offered in the spring and fall semesters only.

*English (ENG 50 or Eng 100 or ESL 103)  ( If English requirement has not been met, student must submit proof of eligibility for ENG. 50, ENG. 100 or ESL 103 when applying to program)

*If not completed prior to entry, must be taken concurrently with DA courses.
