1. Minimum age of 18 years. 2. Attend an RDA Program Orientation. 3. Enroll in Palomar College. 4. Submit a completed Palomar College Dental Assisting Application for Admission to Dental Assisting Office. 5. Submit proof of completion of or eligibility for Eng. 50 or Eng. 100 or ESL 103 to Dental Assisting Office. 6. Submit "Minimum Requirement" of official sealed GED test results or sealed transcripts from high school and COLLEGE GRADUATES may submit sealed official college transcripts in place of high school transcript or GED test results to Dental Assisting Office. 7. If college courses taken without achieving a degree, submit sealed official college transcripts in addition to high school transcripts or GED test results to Dental Assisting Office. 8. Applicant must have a minimum grade point of 2.0. 9. Applicants must have good vision, hearing, ability to communicate orally, to comprehend and to interpret written information. They must also have dexterity to use small dental instruments. Once the above is submitted and accepted, application acceptance is on a first come first serve basis. After application is accepted, applicants will receive a letter requesting submission of: 1. Completed medical, dental and immunization forms. When all medical, dental and immunization requirements are met, students will receive a letter of acceptance to the RDA Program at Palomar College. All applications and supportive paperwork must be submitted in a sealed envelope with name and address on exterior.
