Topics will include fabric selection, cost estimation,
measurement, pattern layout, teardown as well as the use of
commercial sewing machines, cushion stuffer, and pneumatic and
hand tools, and supply sources. Students will be graded on
individual projects. |

| Instruction and individual
student projects will focus on the advanced techniques of
diamond tufting and channeling. In addition, instruction will
include lectures covering advanced upholstery subjects, such as,
auto upholstery, vinyl repair, drapery and accessories,
installation techniques, slipcovers, art of restyling, and
antique restoration. The Advanced Techniques classes can be
enrolled by basic or advanced students; however, individual
projects are permitted after student’s skill set is evaluated by
the instructor. |
