is UniversityLink?

all San Diego and Imperial Valley community colleges!
Your
college success is our mission! The primary goal of
UniversityLink is
to give you a head start by encouraging you to use your first two years
at the community college to complete academic course work that will prepare
you for transfer to, and graduation from UCSD. Counselors from the community
college and UCSD will work with you to ensure that you take the right
steps toward transferring to UCSD.

Eligibility
and Requirements
Your
UniversityLink agreement must be submitted to
Palomar College during the spring of your senior year of high school
or during your first fall term at the community college.
* You
may submit the application at the STARS Program at your high school.
Successful
completion of the UniversityLink agreement guarantees you admission to
a fall term at UCSD.*
To enroll in UniversityLink you must register at the community college
by first completing an application for admission.
Academic
Requirements
- Earn
60 UC-transferable semester units
- Maintain
a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.80 in all UC-transferable courses
- Meet
UC subject eligibility:
- 2
transferable English Composition courses
- 1
transferable Mathematics course
- 4
transferable courses covering two of the following three disciplines
--- arts and humanities; social and behavioral sciences; physical
and biological sciences
Program
Requirements
- 1
appointment per semester with a community college counselor
- 1
appointment per year with the UCSD representative for your community
college
- Attend
fall and spring semester UniversityLink program meetings at the community
college
- Enroll
in a College Success Skills course at your community college during
your first semester
- Attend
a UC application workshop and participate in a UCSD campus visit
