Certificate Requirements
Courses required for a Certificate or an A.A. Degree Major
Provides entry-level skills in the field of radio and television broadcasting and educational telecommunications in business and industry, medical professions and public service agencies.
The A.A. Degree major may satisfy the lower division requirement for a Radio and Television major at a four-year institution. Degree is awarded on completion of required courses.

The above courses are recommended for students planning to transfer to SDSU with a major in Television, Film, and New Media Production.
*Students who are not planning to transfer to SDSU and who have a radio emphasis may substitute RTV 230 for RTV 220.
A Certificate of Achievement will be awarded to students who successfully complete the required courses of the A.A. Degree Major plus 15 elective units.
In order to earn a certificate, students must achieve a minimum grade of "C" in each of the certificate program courses.
