The
REACH Club will have it's first meeting of the semester this Friday,
September 5, at 9:00 in TCB-3. Plan to be there and check it
out. You will make new friends, expand your support network,
and have the opportunity to help decide what direction the club will
go in this year. After the meeting you will be able to
form study groups, get info on classes, parking, and other issues
from fellow REACH students. It will be fun!
Lunch will be provided for students that
attend the morning club meeting and study groups (arrive by 9:00 and
stay until 12:00).
Students that attended a
REACH orientation between May 27 and August 21 may be eligible
(depending on unmet need) for a Comet Cash grant. Watch this
space for an announcement the week of September 8.
Do you have a book that
you could lend a fellow REACH student? Contact Brenda (2866 or
by email) if you do. So far, we need books for Soc 105 and
Biol 100.
All current and potential work study students*
MUST attend a work study orientation on Friday, September 5, at
12:45 in TCB-3.
Financial Aid will present information on how your work study award
is determined and go over eligibility. This work shop is a
requirement for ALL current and future Federal Work Study and
CalWORKs/REACH work study students.
Failure to
attend will impact your eligibility.
