BENEFITS
of the CalWORKs/REACH program include:
  • Help with paperwork necessary for the County to pay for books, child care, parking and other essentials
     
  • Help with Financial Aid (FAFSA) and fee waiver (BOGW) applications.
     
  • Counseling so that you know which classes to take and how to navigate the system
  • PRIORITY REGISTRATION....  This means that you can register the day before most students.  You will always get the classes that you want, when you want to take them!
     
  • Student success workshops and retention activities
     
  • Work Study* job development and placement either on or off campus
     
  • A network of fellow CalWORKs recipients (250+ students) that understand where you are coming from and what you face daily in order to reach your goal of self sufficiency
