COURSE CONTACT INFORMATION

The email address listed in this Blackboard course site will be the address that we email to all students throughout the entire semester; it is important that this address is correct and one that you check on a weekly basis for progress in your coursework! Please check your email address (click on the My Places link / click on the Personal Information link / click on Edit Personal Information) to see what email address is listed for this course.

We recommend that you make your student.palomar.edu your main address while you are a student at Palomar College (this address is automatically assigned to you by the college—and it’s free!) Check this email address weekly not only for course information, but also for college General Information emails regarding activities about the college; scholarship/graduation information; energy blackouts and canceled classes; and, traffic rerouting that may occur because of new construction on campus, just to name a few.

To make your student.palomar.edu email address your main address with Palomar College:

·         www.palomar.edu

·         click on the Students link

·         click on the Student Email link to create

·         edit your email address

YOU'RE READY TO BEGIN YOUR COURSEWORK!

Self-discipline, time management, the ability to follow the detailed course syllabus and textbook instructions, and regular submittal of assignments will ensure your success in your self-paced coursework!

In order for lab instruction to be meaningful to students, it is important that students receive continual feedback from their grading instructor. Therefore, from the date of check-in with lab personnel, students will submit their graded assignments on a weekly basis throughout the Summer session.  Please submit your graded assignments and Quizzes as you complete them; do not submit all assignments in one package or the last week of the Summer session—they will not be accepted by your grading instructor and will be returned to you, resulting in a grade of “F” earned for the course. Please refer to Appendix A in the Lab Procedures Manual for Summer session dates.

We look forward to meeting you soon!

Judy Dolan, Professor/Co-Coordinator jdolan@palomar.edu

Jackie Martin, Professor/Co-Coordinator LJmartin@palomar.edu
