MEDICAL OFFICE SPECIALIST:
Certificate/AA Degree
one of the most comprehensive office support training
programs in San Diego North County!
The Medical Office Specialist Program strives to meet the needs
of students who are building upon basic skills, re-entering the
workforce, changing careers, or retraining on current computer
programs. Instruction emphasizes those skills needed for entry-level
office support positions in a medical facility, including medical
terminology and anatomy, computer skills, insurance, billing
and coding; electronic health records applications; and, medical
office administration.

Medical Office specialists are in demand. Career
opportunities include positions in hospitals, medical
clinics, and doctors' offices. Medical office specialists
perform secretarial duties utilizing specific knowledge of
medical terminology applied to scheduling appointments;
billing patients and insurance practices; and,
