Hello, my name is Monica.  I majored in Literature and Writing for my BA and MA at CSU San Marcos.  I have been working with special-needs students for the past three years in the San Marcos School District.  I also taught at CSUSM as a writing instructor for two years and tutored college writing for five years.  I love tutoring because it gives me a chance to work with students in situations when their own ideas and words come to the forefront of conversation.  For me there is nothing more rewarding than helping a student reach that "Aha" moment.
