Faculty Mentor Program
The Palomar Faculty Student Mentor Program will resume in fall
2010. Chances are, someone special gave you that extra
push, attention, incentive or inspiration that led you down the path to
become an educator. We are glad to announce the Palomar College
Faculty-Student Mentoring Program will resume this Fall.
Over 75 full-time
and part -time faculty members have participated
in the program in past years. We are
counting on those educators to continue in the
program, while asking new faculty to join this
vital program. Faculty earn Professional
Development hours for mentoring students.
Student retention, assisting students on an
academic and personal level is a very rewarding
part of teaching. Most of our faculty do this on
a regular basis and realize the value of
mentoring. The program will make the
documentation process much easier this time
around.
There will be several workshops during the
2010-2011 school years to familiarize faculty with the program. If you wish
to participate, or have any questions about the program please contact us.
