   Firefox

The newest version of Firefox (version 3) includes a "smart" address bar that more often than not guesses your intention when typing a URL (the "awesome" bar").  Other features include one-button bookmarking, native spell-check, smooth-zoom, and excellent anti-phishing features.  Using Firefox makes it possible to use some of the excellent browser extensions listed below on this page.

  CacheViewer

This extenion is GUI Front-end of "about:cache".  Allows searching and sorting memory and disk cache files.

  Colorzilla

  Download Manager Tweak

"The intent of Download Manager Tweak is in the name. It "tweaks" the Firefox download manager with small changes and doesn't completely redesign it. Additional features beyond appearance include deleting a downloaded file and re-downloading a mistakenly deleted file.
