Microsoft Software Microsoft Office 2010 - Free, fully
functional trial version
of the new Office 2010."Office 2010 lets you work how, when, and where you want, letting you get things from a PC, the Web, and even a smartphone." The offering includes Word, Powerpoint, Outlook (that has now adopted the "ribbon" interface), Excel, OneNote, Access, Publisher, InfoPath, SharePoint Workspace, and Communicator. Office 2010 is available for installation on-campus by contacting the IS department at ext. 2140, or helpdesk@palomar.edu. For home use, Office 2010 Professional Plus is available at very low cost to Palomar College faculty, staff and students. Office Live supports online version of Microsoft Office Web Apps: Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OneNote, which work transparently with the desktop versions of these programs in their Office 2010 versions. Office Live is an online service (not to be confused with Office Online) where a workspace can be created for group activities, such as online calendaring and file storage through SkyDrive. Windows Live and Office Live require a Windows Live ID.
By installing the Compatibility Pack in addition to Microsoft Office 2000, Office XP, or Office 2003, you will be able open, edit, and save files using the file formats new to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 & 2010.
