Description:
- Are you
part of the blogosphere? Do you want to be?
- Do you know
how RSS (Really Simple Syndication) works?
- Would you
like to start receiving “news” feeds via RSS to
bring into control the proliferation of
information sources?
- Do you want
to know how to use those orange XML buttons you
see all over the web?
- Would you
like to find out how to start receiving podcasts
using iTunes or other “podcatching” software?
In this hands-on workshop you will
create your own blog, install and configure an RSS
news reader program, subscribe to various podcasts,
and learn how it all fits together. Ideas for using
this technology in education will be offered.
Prerequisite: Familiarity with blogging
would be useful, but not necessary.
Limit: 10 participants.
