Creating Academic Podcasts
Hosted
by:
Terry Gray
Date/time:
- Tuesday, 4/17,
1-3pm in
LL-111,
PD Code 112
Everything
you
wanted
to know
about
creating
and
distributing
academic
podcasts
will be
covered
in this
2-hour
workshop.
The
following
questions
will be
addressed:
-
What kind of recording
equipment will I need?
-
What kind of software will I
need?
-
What format does the podcast
need to be recorded in?
-
How long should my podcast be?
-
Will students stop coming to
class if I start podcasting my lectures?
-
How do I distribute my podcast?
-
Will it cost me or my
department anything?
The
answer
to these
questions,
as
always,
is "It
depends..."
But just
what it
depends
on will
be
clearly
explained,
and we
will do
a
hands-on
exercise
where we
create a
brief
podcast
and
distribute
it using
our
recommended
method.
