Blackboard

Description: Designed for
instructors who wish to record their lectures and place
the audio recording in Blackboard. We will learn how to
use the Olympus WS-300 digital voice recorder to record
(either in class or at your desk) your lecture or other
materials, transfer the recordings to your computers,
edit the recordings, if necessary, and place the
recordings within your Blackboard courses. Audio file
formats (wma and mp3), simple audio editing (with
Audacity), the use of USB devices, and uploading and
linking in Blackboard are the skills that will be
taught.
Prerequisite: Familiarity with Blackboard and
a knowledge of audio file formats will be helpful, but
not necessary.
