New Podcast Solution

To begin podcasting academic content, we recommend the following steps:

  1. If you do not already have a digital voice recorder, or a means of digitally recording your audio content, check out an Olympus WS-100 digital voice recorder from Academic Technology.  The WS-100 is small, easy to use, and is also a USB device, making transfer of audio files to your computer simple.

  2. Submit a request for academic podcast to Academic Technology.  We will set up the web infrastructure for your podcast at blogger.com and feedburner.com.  We will email you the web address of your podcast publication blog as soon as we set it up.

  3. Record your content, and follow the directions in this screen video tutorial on uploading it to your publication blog.

That's all there is to it.  For your students and others to receive the podcast, they will need to subscribe to it.  Click here for a tutorial on how to subscribe to a podcast using iTunes, the podcatching software that we recommend.  For more information on podcasts and podcast subscription, click here.  For suggestions on recording your podcast, click here More...
