EMBRY RIDDLE AERONAUTICAL UNIVERSITY
HOSTS
4th ANNUAL 2004 JUNIOR COLLEGE/20 & UNDER OPEN
Dear Coach: August 20, 2004
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is proud to host the fourth annual 2004 Junior College/20 & Under Collegiate Open in the "mile-high" city of Prescott, Arizona. Over fifty junior colleges, clubs and 4- year college programs have been invited throughout the Nation. This event has and will continue to bring the top National Junior College (NJCAA) wrestling teams together with the California Community College (CCC) wrestling programs as well as many of frosh/soph college wrestlers throughout the nation. Last year, all divisions (NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, CCC and Clubs) were represented at the 2003 tournament.
Thank you to all of you who participated in and helped make the 2003 Open, a huge success. We had approximately 150 athletes, 24 coached and 15 schools that included California JCs, National JCs, 4 - year Colleges, and Club teams. The field had some great young talent that included National qualifiers from every division and All-Americans from: California JCs, NJCAA, NAIA and Clubs. Also, the 133-pound NJCAA National Champion, Charles Lloyd, received the most pins from last year’s tournament. Coaches, if it’s competition you want for your athletes, then HERE is where you will find one of the best fields and environments in college wrestling.
As you can see, if you were not here last year you missed a great tournament. JC coaches this is also a great time to showcase your athletes to the four year coaches (Bring your recruiting material-tables will be provided at no charge this year.)
If you have any questions, call (928)
777-3853.
Yours In Wrestling,
John Petty
