COACHES
KARL SEILER
Head Women's Volleyball
Coach
 Karl Seiler is a
four-time Pacific Coast Conference Coach of the Year, being honored
in 1996, when the Comets reached the Southern California Community
College Regional championship match,
2002,
2003, 2008 and 2009. All five
seasons, Palomar won the Pacific
Coast Athletic Conference title, and the 2003 Comets recorded their
first-ever unbeaten conference season.
Seller starred at Torrey
Pines High School's boys volleyball squad and for Palomar's men's
volleyball team in 1988 and 1989.
He recently concluded a
highly-successful stint as coach of the nationally-recognized Coast
Volleyball Club.
Seiler received his B.S.
degree from San Diego State University and his Master's degree from
Azusa Pacific University. He's a fulltime instructor at Palomar in
the Department of Health and Physical Education.
Seiler lives in the French
Valley area of Temecula with his wife and family.
BJORN DAHL
Assistant Women's Volleyball
Coach
Bjorn Dahl, member of Long Beach State's 1999 NCAA Division I national runner-up
men's team as a collegian, is in his third season as an assistant in Palomar's
women's volleyball program.
Dahl also is Palomar's head men's volleyball coach.
A
coach with the Coast Volleyball Club, Dahl previously was head men's coach at
San Diego Mesa College.

Coach
Joy Leichtfuss played
volleyball at San Diego Christian College (known at the time as Heritage
Christian College), and was the Golden State Athletic Conference (GSAC)
Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 1991, compiling a 3.97 grade-point average while
majoring in English Literature.
She and her
husband Seth have their three children, Levi, Ethan and Juliana, and
have lived in North County and Lawton, Oklahoma. The couple is
associated with Sportquest Ministries, a division of Ministries of
Good News. They led SportQuest teams on trips to Belgium and Greece.
