HEAD COACH SCIA
MAUMAUSOLO
Scia Maumausolo, who was
Associate Head Coach on the legendary Mark Eldridge's coaching
staff in 2005 and 2006, stepped in as Palomar's second Head
Coach in history last season -- after
Eldridge's
retirement -- and has followed in Eldridge's footsteps.
Maumausolo guided the Comets to
their 23rd consecutive Pacific Coast Conference championship as
they tied San Diego City College and Grossmont for the
conference title.
Maumausolo was a three-time NCAA Division I All-American at Cal State
Northridge and played professionally for the Virginia Roadsters
and the Florida Wahoos.
She was MVP of the
Women's Professional Softball League's 1999 All-Star Game.
At
Northridge, she set a career Western Athletic Conference record
of 46 home runs, which still stands, and was inducted into the
school's Hall of Fame in 2000.
A graduate of Mt.
Carmel High School, Maumausolo was 1992 CIF-San Diego Section
softball Player of the Year.
Maumausolo is an
adjunct professor in the Department of Health and Physical Education at
Palomar.

LACEY CRAFT

softball standout, is in her third season as an assistant coach
for the Comets.

Valley Center, played shortstop at Valley Center High
School and starred at Palomar as a third baseman under
legendary, now-retired coach Mark Eldridge.

Division I level at San Diego State.

growing up around the Palomar athletic program and being a part
of the Comets' softball program since she began attending games
as an infant. Her dad is former Palomar and San Diego State Head
Football Coach Tom Craft, who also is an ex-Palomar softball
assistant coach.
