PERSONAL: Full name is Saalim Abdul Hakim. ... Born Feb. 1, 1990 in Atlanta, GA. ... Son of Abdul Hakim and Carmen Allen. ... Has two adult brothers, Az-Zahir Hakim and Abdul Hakim, and one adult sister, So-Keena Hakim. ... Az-Zahir Hakim played receiver for San Diego State and in the NFL for the St. Louis Rams, Detroit Lions, New Orleans Saints, Miami Dolphins and San Diego Chargers. Az-Zahir Hakim is in his first season as a Palomar assistant coach, working with the receivers... Cousin of Scottie Anderson (Lions, Tampa Bay Buccaneers).

2009 SEASON: Starts as wide receiver and has five receptions for 59 yards, an 11.8-yard average per catch and one touchdown as of Oct. 2, after the Comets' first four games. ... Caught three passes for 31 yards and one touchdown, on a 22-yard play from quarterback Matt Christian, as the Comets kicked off the season with a 55-0 victory at Southwestern on Sept. 5. ... Had one catch for 16 yards in a 24-7 victory over Victor Valley on Sept. 12. ... Made one reception for 12 yards in a 27-17 victory over San Diego Mesa on Sept. 19.

2008 SEASON: Had three receptions for 49 yards  as a true freshman. ... Made his college debut as a starter on Sept.20 and caught two passes for 45 yards in a 37-17 victory over San Diego Mesa. Gained 39 yards on pass-and-run play from Steven Carroll on the Comets' first play from scrimmage to set up the game's first touchdown.... Had a 4-yard reception in a 20-7 victory over Long Beach City College on Oct. 25.
