2008 SEASON: A second-team All-Southern Conference selection by conference coaches and also was named Defensive Player of the Game in the Golden Empire Bowl as a true freshman. ... Finished the season second on the team in tackles (72) and led the Comets with 54 solo tackles starting at cornerback. ... Also had an interception, three fumble recoveries, a forced fumble, a blocked kick, a sack, a tackle for a loss and has broken up a team-high 16 passes. ... Had six tackles (four solo) and broke up four passes in season-opening 21-19 victory over Southwestern on Sept. 6.
