PERSONAL: Born Sept. 27, 1988 in Oceanside. ... Son of Roy and Cheryl Peiler. ... Has one sister, Alea (17). ... Nephew of Legi Suiannoa, who played linebacker for Palomar's 1998 National Co-Championship team and for the University of Nevada, was an assistant coach at both Palomar and Nevada and is currently coaching high school football in Washington. ... Nephew of Joe Salave'a, former defensive tackle for the University of Arizona, the Tennessee Titans and Washington Redskins and currently an assistant coach at San Jose State. ... Nephew of Carolina Panthers offensive guard Toniu Fonoti, who originally was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the second round out of Nebraska in 2002 and also has played with the Minnesota Vikings, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons.

Had 42 tackles (30 solo), a forced fumble, 3.5 tackles for losses, two sacks, a forced fumble, a pass break-up and three quarterback hurries on the season. ... Contributed two tackles (one solo) and a quarterback hurry in a 37-17 rout of San Diego Mesa on Sept. 20. ... Had five tackles (two solo) on Sept. 27 as the Comets downed College of the Desert 47-41 in a battle of unbeatens in four overtimes, handing the Roadrunners their first regular-season loss since 2006. Celebrated his 20th birthday by helping bring down COD running back Leonard Mason short of a first down on fourth-and-1 in the fourth overtime, ending the game. ... Had two tackles (both solo) vs. Grossmont on Oct. 4. ...  Had three tackles (two solo) vs. Saddleback on Oct. 11. ... Contributed four tackles (two solo), forced a fumble and had a tackle for a loss in a 38-14 victory at Santa Ana on Oct. 18. ...
