Nephew of Joe Salave'a, former defensive tackle for the University of Arizona, the Tennessee Titans and Washington Redskins and currently an assistant coach at San Jose State. ... Nephew of Carolina Panthers offensive guard Toniu Fonoti, who originally was drafted by the San Diego Chargers in the second round out of Nebraska in 2002 and also has played with the Minnesota Vikings, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Dolphins and Atlanta Falcons.
