Cousin of 7-foot-0 Zach Crimmons, who played Ivy League basketball for Columbia University for four seasons from 2007-08 through 2010-11 and also played professionally for Basket Globalcaja Quintanar in Spain.

2012-2013 SEASON: Has started all 24 games for the Comets as of Feb. 5 and has battled for the state community college lead in both rebounds and blocks all season long. ... Averaging 16.2 points, 10.8 rebounds and 4.2 blocks a game, with 13 double-doubles. ... Shooting 61.3 percent from the field (152-for-248), and 81.6 percent from the free-throw line (84-for-103). ... Had 11 points, 8 rebounds and a block as Palomar defeated Fullerton in the Frank Garcia Tip-Off Tournament at College of the Desert on Nov. 18. ... Contributed 10 points and 5 rebounds in a 91-79 win over San Diego Mesa on Dec. 16. ... Helped lead the Comets to a 67-59 upset win over Chaffey in the first round of the Cougar Classic at College of the Canyons on Dec. 27 with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 3 blocks. ... Scored 12 points and blocked 2 shots in an overtime loss to host Canyons in the championship semifinals on Dec.28. ... Had 16 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks in a 51-50 hearbreaking loss to Cerritos in the third-place game on Dec. 29. ... Blocked 2 shots in a 67-63 loss to defending conference champion Southwestern on Jan. 6. ... Pulled down 11 rebounds as the Comets downed Cuyamaca 63-59 on Jan. 13.... Had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds on Feb. 1 in an 81-66 victory over San Diego Mesa. ... Contributed 11 rebounds vs. San Diego City College on Feb. 3. ... Came up big with 15 points and 15 rebounds as the Comets upset Southwestern 69-56 on Feb. 8 on the road. ... Grabbed 8 rebounds in an 87-70 win over Cuyamaca on Feb. 15. ... Made a lay-in with 12 seconds remaining to give Palomar a 64-62 upset win over Imperial Valley in their season finale on Feb. 17, which gave the Comets 8 wins in their final 10 games. ... Was an All-Pacific Coast Athletic Conference honorable mention selection after the season.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for coach Terry Miller at Rancho Buena Vista High School, making second-team All-Avocado League West in his senior season of 2010-11. ... Teamed with Johnny Dee, a starting guard at Division I University of San Diego in both 2011-12 and the current season as a true freshman and and now a sophomore, to lead the Longhorns to a 26-4 record. ... Was Most Valuable Player in the 7th Annual San Diego County-Riverside County All-Star Classic at the Palomar Dome, leading the San Diego team to a 98-73 victory with 23 points.

ACADEMICS: Undeclared major. ... Named to the 2010-2011 San Diego Union-Tribune All-Academic team as a Rancho Buena Vista senior. ... Was a PCAC Academic All-Conference honoree for the Fall 2012 semester at Palomar.
