PERSONAL: Born Dec. 17, 1985, in Tempe, AZ. ... Son of Ken Refner,  former football wide receiver at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, and Sheila Refner. ... Has two brothers, Jake (19) and Brett (14). ... Received Eagle Academic Award for his 3.0 grade-point average in 2005-06 at Northern Arizona. ...  Cousin of Tony Serio, football inside linebacker for St. Ambrose College in Davenport, IA.

2006-07 SEASON:  One of most dangerous 3-point shooters in the Pacific Coast Conference, one of the better free throw and 3-point shooters in Southern California community college basketball and the Comets' Co-Most Inspiration Player. ... Accepted a scholarship to C.W. Post after the season. ... Honorable mention all-conference. ... Averaged 7.9 points per game while shooting 42.4 percent from the field (73-for-173) and 40.7 percent from behind the 3-point arc (fourth in the conference). ... Also averaging 3.3 rebounds a game. ... Scored 17 points against state-ranked Mt. SAC on Nov. 25 and also scored in double figures against Cerritos (14 points) on Nov. 10, Cypress (14 points) on Nov. 16, Barstow (10 points) on Nov. 18, San Diego Mesa (15 points) on Jan. 14, Cuyamaca (11 points) on Jan. 18 and Southwestern (16 points) on Jan. 20. ... Slowed during the late season with a broken thumb. ... Drained a season-high five 3-pointers against Mesa on Jan. 4, playing just 16 minutes in the game due to illness. ... Had season-high totals of eight rebounds and four assists in a 102-93 overtime victory over Grossmont on Jan. 6. ... Scored 12 points, draining four 3-pointers, in a win over San Diego Miramar on Jan. 11 and 11 points in a victory over Imperial Valley on Jan. 13. ... Also missed part of the season with a concussion.

2005-06 SEASON:  Averaged 5.0 minutes a game, 2.5 points, .8 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.5 steals a game on the Division I level coming off the bench as a small forward and shooting guard at Northern Arizona.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was 2004 Arizona 3A Player of the Year and team MVP for coach Hosea Graham at Chandler Seton Catholic High. ... Averaged 16 points, 9 assists, 7 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 steals a game. ... Helped lead the Sentinals to a state runner-up finish in2004 and regional championships in 2002 and 2004. ... Played in the Arizona Republic High School All-Star game in 2004. ... Also passed for 1,950 yards at quarterback for Seton Catholic as a senior during the 2003 season as he helped lead the Sentinals to an 11-3 record, a regional championship and a state runner-up finish.
