SEASON: Had
his best community college game on April 12, when
he went 4-for-4 with two home runs, four runs
scored and six RBIs as Palomar defeated Golden
West, 15-4, to win the championship of the
Palomar Easter Series. ... Batted .281 in Pacific
Coast Conference games this season. ... Finished
the season with 13 steals in 17 attempts overall,
ranking him fourth on the team. ... Went 3-for-4
with a double and three RBIs in a 9-5 win on the
road against San Diego City College on March 2,
and also had multiple-hit games against San Diego
Mesa on March 12, against Southwestern on March
23, Imperial Valley on March 29, Imperial Valley
on May 3 and San Bernardino Valley in the
Southern California Regionals on May 12, when he
went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and a

an All-Avocado League first-team selection two
years and Defensive Player of the Year at La
Costa Canyon, where he played for coach Justin
Machado. .... Helped the Mavericks to the Avo
title in both 1999 and 2000 and to the CIF-San
Diego Section Division I semifinals as a senior.
... Also was All-Avo in football as well as
Receiver of the Year for LCC in football. Played
in the Alex Spanos North-South All-Star Classic.
