2002 SEASON: Contributed as a part-time starter in right field. ... Stepped in for the injured Jesse Schmidt early in the PCC season and went 1-for-2 with an RBI in a 9-3 win over San Diego Mesa on Feb. 26, 1-for-3 with a sacrifice in a 10-5 victory over defending conference champion Grossmont on Feb. 25 and 1-for-3 against San Diego City College on March 2. ... Again stepped in after another injury to Schmidt and went 2-for-3 in a 6-3 win over Golden West on March 28 in the Palomar Easter Series. ... Also made a difficult defensive play in right field look hard when he went up the bank in right field to make a catch that robbed the Rustlers' Chris Carey of an extra-base hit in the fourth inning. ... Earlier in the season, doubled to drive in a run against Saddleback on Feb. 10.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for former Palomar and San Diego State star and ex-pro player Bobby Parry at Poway High. ... Was team MVP a year ago as a senior, when he batted .410 and slugged five home runs. ... Helped the Titans to the CIF-San Diego Section championship game, where they fell to Rancho Bernardo. ... Fractured a bone in his leg sliding into home in the Lions-Mike Morrow Tournament as a junior in 2000 and underwent surgery.
