the Comets as a bulldog reliever, then won a spot
in the starting rotation the last week of March.
Had four wins and one save with a 3.35 earned
average during the regular season. ... Sidelined
in the late-season with a sore arm, but returned
to pitch briefly in the Southern California
Regionals. ... Is third on the team with earned
run averages of 3.35 (season) and 2.86 (for
Pacific Coast Conference games). ... Was selected
as the conference's Men's Athlete of the Week for
his performance the week ending March 24. ... Has
won three straight games, all in an eight-day
period. ... Beat defending conference champion
Grossmont on March 19, throwing 4 2/3 innings of
two-hit, shutout ball and striking out four. ...
Came back on March 23 to record his second win of
the week, throwing 6 1/3 innings of three-hit,
one-run ball to beat San Diego City College. ....
Then, in his first start, took a shutout into the
ninth inning against Golden West on March 28 in
the Palomar Easter Classic. Recorded the win with
relief help from Keith Albright, who picked up
the save. ... Beat Southwestern 5-3 in his second
start April 8 at Southwestern. ... Earlier,
recorded a save on Feb. 28 when he pitched
shutout, one-hit ball over the last three
innings, striking out three and walking one, as
Palomar defeated Grossmont on the road. ... Began
the season strong as he pitched two innings of
no-hit, shutout ball in the Comets'
season-opening 7-2 win over Cochise Community
College of Douglas, Ariz., on Feb. 1. ... Threw
two innings of shutout relief against College of
the Siskiyous on Feb. 14, and 1 2/3 innings of
shutout relief in a 12-6 win over Orange Coast,
which entered the game with a 10-1 record, on
Feb. 20.

Pitched one-third of an inning in relief
against Glendale on May 11 at Casey Stengel Field
in Glendale.

SEASON: Red-shirted
after an injury in the Fall.

SCHOOL: Was
second-team All-Palomar League twice under coach
Eric Morton at San Marcos High. Also was an
All-Palomar League honor mention selection as a
sophomore. ... Batted .420 as a senbior with two
home runs and 25 RBIs. ... Graduated from San
Marcos in 2000.
