Mesa on Feb. 26 and a scoreless relief inning in
a 9-6 win over Mesa on April 18. ...Was the
victim of four early unearned runs in a loss to
San Diego City College on March 2 in San Diego.

POSTSEASON:
Started against Glendale in the Southern
California Regionals on May 11 at Casey Stengel
Field in Glendale. ... Pitched the first 6 2/3
innings, taking a 4-1 lead into the seventh but
tired and left the game in a contest the Comets
eventually lost.

as a true freshman for the University of San
Diego in the West Coast Conference, one of the
Nation's stronger Div. I conferences.

14-1 with a 2.20 ERA in his junior and senior
seasons at Lakeridge High School under coach Dave
Gasser. ... Helped lead the Pacers to the Oregon
State Championship in 1999 and to the State
semifinals in 2000. ... Was first-team All-Three
Rivers League, first-team All-State and was a USA
Today All-America honorable mention selection.
