2001 SEASON: Voted to the All-Pacific Coast Conference first team by conference coaches and was selected as Palomar's MVP by his teammates. ... Hit second in the Comets' batting order and was second on the club in batting (.355), which ranked him fifth in the conference and second among PCC freshmen behind only teammate Kyle Floquet. ... Tied for the team lead in hits (59), which deadlocks him for 10th on the all-time Palomar single-season list. ... Second on the club in on-base percentage (.457). ... . Tied for second on the team in doubles (14), was third in runs scored (35) and was second in RBIs (29). ... Tied for second on the team in walks (21) and was second in times reaching base as a hit batter (10). .... Stole seven bases in eight attempts. ... Batted .326 in PCC games, which ranked him 10th among conference leaders. ... Marin went 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs to help lead the Comets to their first win of the season back on Feb. 3, 6-5 over Canada College of Redwood City. ...
